Ok - whatever it was, there must have been a bad cook. They are back on track again. A friend pulled me in there and I acquiesced. Glad I did because they fixed the issue this time.
Dona Maria is excellent. The employees are happy and kind, and although I haven't tried everything, but everything I have tried is very good. The grande tacos are loaded with meat and fresh avocado. The veggie veggie burrito is delicious. I've tried Carne Asada, Carnitas, Al Pastor, Chile Verde and grilled chicken, and they're all consistently good. It can get crowded at dinner time, but you can call in your order in advance
Solid, no-frills mexican joint with to-die-for verde salsa. I grab a to-go burrito here about twice a month. My favorite is the carnitas burrito, but I also get a plain-old bean and cheese. What keeps me coming back is the verde salsa. I could drink a gallon of it! So good. Staff is friendly and the place is clean and comfortable.
Still great! The carnitas here is so good, you e got to go try it! Service is quick and friendly. Nice outdoor seating area, as well. Covered area on the patio. They charge extra for chips and salsa.
